I was never a fan of long division, because I was always like "but I know the answer, you told me it's right, why do I need to show you *how* I got there??" Because that's assuming there is only one way of doing it, and I sometimes did it in my own way, so my *method* was wrong even if my answer was right.

This reminds me of the mecha suit in District 9.

Yeah it really had that Weta Workshop feel to it after I did it, which made me feel all giddy inside.
I think that's apart of the connection to life and long division, you can check your answer by looking back on your work.
