Garrus Vakarian

“It's so much easier to see the world in black and white. Gray? I don't know what to do with gray.” - Garrus

I actually started on this last night, finished it today, in total about six hours total.

I'm a big fan of Garrus, specially because out of all the Mass Effect Characters, I think you have the biggest effect on him or at least you FEEL like you made an impression on him. Garrus' story is also one of great sadness and retribution. I can't wait to have him back in Mass Effect 3.

Love,

O.N.P.W

One of the greatest moments in ME2 is when you confront the infamous Archangel and discover his identity. Garrus, a true friend to Shepard. Also, a possible love interest for fem-Shep whom I play. I actually pursued a romance with him just to see what happens (after I had done it with Jacob) but pulled out because I valued Garrus as a friend too much and wanted to keep it like that.

Your portrait captures his true spirit. Thank you for that!

As for ME2 on PS3, I finally made a face I'm happy with (only re-started the game four times). It's the damn Unreal engine on PS3 which messes things up with facial lightning (because of that, I couldn't use my Xbox Shep's face). I can finally start it for good before the release of ME3!

What? No love for Thane haha?

Thank you, I think it was important for me to really get a sense of what Garrus is all about and I think Mass Effect 2 was perfect for doing a portrait of him because of how conflicted he is about everything. He was even conflicted in Mass Effect 1 as well, but it's interesting to see it all come together.

Yeah, that's always a bust trying to get a character's face right. I ended up changing my Shepard in Mass Effect 2 (same face, different hair), in ME1 I had hair, but I figured since Shepard's recreation wasn't complete and considering they were working on him I decided to scarp my hair to give me that newborn look.

I flirted with everyone, haha! As for Thane, EA cover artists really messed up badly. From his looks on the game cover, I thought he'd be some annoying, whiny-voiced bug with attituuuuuuude! For that reason I was holding the mission to recruit him to the very last possible moment. Glad I was wrong as Thane turned out to be an intriguing character with yet again excellent voice acting!

That reminds so who exactly your main love interest, you know, who will be the main one you carry over.

Personally as far as Female Shepard goes I think Liara, Jacob, and Kaiden are the only logical choices.

Unless you can somehow romance Legion haha.

On Xbox, I romanced Jacob in ME2, and if I get new XBox in time for ME3, I'll stay loyal to him (if he's in the game, remember, I haven't read anything about the game, not even rosters).

On PS3, in the absence of ME1 for the platfrom, there's an interactive comic summing up the story of the first game and presenting the key choices you can make. I chose Liara as love interest and plan to stay loyal to her now on this playthru, and see where it carries Shep and Liara in ME3.

Aw I hope you can get your Xbox back, it would be nice to be able to play on your original file or at least the one you feel most comfortable with.

Liara is pretty amazing, considering she's the sole reason Shepard is even alive after the destruction of the Normandy (if you read Redemption).

Though if I had to pick any other girl it would be Jack hands down. She's such a lovable person, I mean when she's not killing people.
